Mary Fancher is an artist and writer residing in Baldwinsville, New York. Although she received her degree in art from the State University of New York at Binghamton, her real education began at the age of four years old when she first took pencil to paper.
For over twenty years, she worked in the information technology field as a computer programmer, analyst and project lead. During this time she still managed to indulge her creativity in both art and writing. Since retiring early, her creative output has exploded. Her recent book, The Love Letter of John Henry Holliday was on the short list for the 2015 Historical Novel Indie Editor’s Choice Award, and another novel, John Lee, was one of the top five finalists for the South Carolina First Novel Award.
Her drawings and paintings have been accepted into juried shows in Oregon, Cooperstown, Lake Placid and Syracuse, New York, and exhibited in galleries in the Adirondacks and South Carolina. Currently, she is represented by Imagine Gallery, in Skaneateles, New York.
